Teen/Adult Taekwondo
Our adult taekwondo class offers a great way for adults to get in shape, learn self-defense, become more flexible, and relieve stress. It is a friendly environment where all ages and skill levels are welcome. We are a traditional Taekwondo style, so we do practice traditional components such as forms (katas) and traditional movements and stances. However, we are also a progressive school in that we incorporate more modern combat techniques such as boxing and jiu jitsu into our curriculum. Teens and adults in this class will experience great workouts that will help them become stronger both physically and mentally. It is also a great tool in helping with adult ADHD. Students who come through our adult program typically become more focused in school or in their jobs and walk with more confidence in their daily lives. Our classes are fun but challenging!
Teen/Adult Jiu Jitsu- now offering at both the Waldron and Greenwood Locations!
Our Jiu Jitsu class is an awesome introduction to jiu jitsu. Jiu Jitsu is a grappling based martial art that focuses on getting the fight to the ground where a smaller opponent can overcome a larger, stronger opponent. While this is a beginner program, it is great for all experience levels to learn a very detailed and structured base to jiu jitsu. Jiu Jitsu is one of the best styles for women's self-defense as size does not matter, only the use of leverage, in successfully overcoming your attacker. This style of jiu jitsu is not sport based, but meant for street readiness. We learn how to defend against punches both standing and on the ground, and how to submit the attacker and escape without serious harm.
