About Wolfpack Martial Arts
Since 2001, Wolfpack Martial Arts has been providing instruction to children and adults in a blend of martial arts styles in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At WMA, we teach an AGE APPROPRIATE blend of Tae Kwon Do, Goju Ryu and Karate. The addition of our enhanced programs in the teaching of Judo/Grappling, Combat Hapkido and Weapons offers a well-rounded mix of traditional martial arts and practical self-defense.
We offer programs for both children and adults, as well as specialty classes in areas of Women's self-defense and cardio-plyometrics fitness.
Wolfpups / Lil' Dragon Program – Ages 2 1/2 - 6
Our early childhood program is in affiliation with the nationally recognized Lil' Dragon program and reaches out to children 2 1/2 - 6 year olds.
These youngsters learn basic martial arts skills in a fun and high-energy atmosphere. The Lil’ Dragon program is designed to lay a solid foundation so that when the students are older and more capable, they can flourish in a more structured environment. This program also focuses on life skills (respect, balance, cooperation, listening,...)as well as important safety skills (such as stranger awareness, fire safety, anti-drugs, health,...)!
Wolfcubs Youth Program – Ages 6 - 15
For kids ages 6-15 years old, we offer our Wolfcubs program, a solid martial arts program with an emphasis on character building and self-defense. In addition to traditional martial arts (kicks, punches, self-defense, and the cool moves you see on TV), we teach respect, self-discipline and self-control, positive attitude, and goal-setting, as it applies to home and school as well as in the dojo (martial arts school). Through our Six Tasks program (which teaches and rewards students in the areas of Respect, Teamwork, Perseverance, Self-Discipline, Leadership, and Knowledge) and our monthly Merit Badge testing program, we are able to teach our young students about goal-setting and working toward a worthwhile goal, and offer them short-term goals and rewards.
Alpha/Beta Wolves - teens 14+ - mature adults
Adults and Teens join our program for a number of reasons: Self-Defense, Fitness and Health, Fun, and Friendships. Many of the parents of our younger students join to share in a physical activity with their children.
Our members range in age from the teens to over 50 years old. It’s never too late to start! Our expert instructors gear the adult classes for all ages with a variety of physical abilities, seeking to challenge our members to achieve, without pushing them beyond their physical limits.
In this program, we place an equal emphasis on traditional martial arts and on modern self-defense skills.
Family Classes
On most Saturday mornings, we offer classes where our youth (ages 6+) and adults can work out together. This is a great opportunity to get another good workout, while building bonds between parents and children. Of course, this class is open to all of our students, regardless of whether they have a parent or child enrolled at WMA.
