Lil' Dragons (ages 3-6) |
Our early childhood program is in affiliation with the nationally recognized Lil' Dragon program and reaches out to children 3-6 years old. Your child can learn basic martial arts skills in a fun and high-energy atmosphere. The Lil’ Dragon program is designed to lay a solid foundation so that when your child is older and more capable, he/she can flourish in a more structured environment. This program focuses on life skills such as respect, cooperation and listening as well as important safety skills such as stranger awareness, fire safety, anti-drug awareness, and maintaining healthy lifestyles. Additional focal activities, including balance, coordination, and other fine or gross motor skills, are also practiced. Parent participation is encouraged in the Lil' Dragon Program 1, especially with the youngest children or newcomers. Parents are invited to work out alongside his/her child until they feel comfortable enough to continue on their own. Lil' Dragon Program 2 is the second level of the program and typically includes students about to advance to our Wolfcubs program. Students must be nominated by the instructor from the Lil’ Dragon Program 1 in order to participate at this level. Martial arts skills are taught in a little more enhanced fashion, while still incorporating the same focal activities and life or safety skills. |
Wolfcubs Youth Program (ages 6-15) |
For your children ages 6-15 years old, we offer our Wolfcubs program, a solid martial arts program with an emphasis on character building and self-defense. The Six Tasks program teaches and rewards students in the areas of respect, teamwork, perseverance, self-discipline, leadership, and knowledge. Our monthly Merit Badge testing program allows students to earn badges in a variety of martial arts skills. As students progress in martial arts, we expect them to become leaders in our program as well as in school and their every day life. Our school believes anyone has the ability to become a great leader if they are willing to learn how. Wolfpack Martial Arts provides your children with many opportunities to practice leadership, which can teach them how to be a good leader at school and in their future careers. The WMA Leadership Program requires leadership assistance in teaching other youth as well as participation in community service projects. For more information on our Leadership Program including the requirements of the program, please contact a WMA staff member. All students begin in the Basic Program. As students progress in basic martial arts training, display commitment, dedication, and desire for Black Belt Excellence, they may be nominated by the instructors for the Black Belt Club Program.
